The foremost student-led academic platform in Nigeria, an organization that had its roots from LASU, Excel Minds Academic Group, paid the Lagos State University Vice Chancellor - Prof. Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun, SAN, NPOM, a courtesy yesterday - Monday, 12th October, 2020, in his office at the Babatunde Fashola Senate Building, Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos.
EXCEL MINDS presented the Vice Chancellor with an Award for "DISTINGUISHED LEADERSHIP AND OVERALL IMPACT".
Other members of the team included the present Coordinator, Kolawole Tolani David and the Secretary, Akisanmi Oladunni Hillary.
It is worthy of note that the award was meant to have been presented as far back as the month of March, 2020, however, the Covid-19 Pandemic disrupted proceedings and the presentation had to be rescheduled.
The award was presented in recognition of the strides made by the out-going Vice Chancellor of the University. The Founder of the Organization, Oladimeji Shotunde was quoted as saying: "This award is presented to appreciate your immeasurable contribution to the Lagos State University. This award is not commensurate to what you have done, but this is our way of appreciating you, sir.
It's incontrovertible that you have touched virtually all facets of this institution and for this, we say thank you."
The Vice Chancellor, while receiving the award, thanked the Team and commended them for all they have been doing for the Lagos State University. He admonished the present drivers of the Organization to keep pushing and sustaining the frontiers of excellence.
The team afterwards proceeded to the CIPPR unit where they met with the Coordinator, Mr. Ademola Adekoya and Mr. Gbanja Oluwaseun.
The team afterwards spent time to have robust deliberations and discussions with one of the Excel Minds' Staff Advisers and Information, Press and Public Relations Officer, Mr. Jeariogbe Olaniyi S. (Jerrysam).
The visit was very productive.
