Two (2) EXCEL MINDS Tutors, who are Students from the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences, Lagos State University have recorded, yet another landmark academic feat in the Access 2.0 Competition organised by University of Lagos which held on 5th September, 2019, having defeated their counterparts from other institutions.
A total number of Six(6) tertiary institutions participated in the competition viz: University of Lagos (the host), Lagos State University, Bowen University, Obafemi Awolowo University, Yaba College of Technology, University of Ilorin and Crawford University .
Team-LASU was represented by Balogun Idris Oladimeji (EXCEL MINDS Tutor), Adiat Mosunmola Hassan (EXCEL MINDS Tutor), Kuku Zainab Oluwajomiloju and Olowa kehinde Joseph, all of whom are First Class Students in the Department of Accounting with CGPAs not less than 4.70.
At the end of the intense intellectual contest, our students made us proud by emerging 1st, with a cash price of N60,000 cash; while Yabatech and O.A.U. came 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The students were quick to attribute this feat to the untiring collective efforts of all academic and non-academic staff of the Department, the Faculty and the University as a whole. And specially, they register their sincerest appreciation with the Vice Chancellor whose giant strides in LASU propel them to strive for excellence at all times.
EXCEL MINDS Academic Group wishes to congratulate the duo, as they have both played a significant role in further advancing the interest and ideals of the group. Hassan Mosunmola happens to be the Treasurer to the group, while Balogun Idris is a Tutor to the group. We believe with this recent feat, the "Excellence Mantra" of the Group has been further emphasized and entrenched.
