The development was made known by the Founder of the Group, Oladimeji Shotunde, who gave reasons why creating an alumni network would be to the benefit and sustainability of the Organization. The name was proposed to be "EXCEL MINDS ALUMNI NETWORK", with the motto: "A Family Excellently Redefined".
In actualizing this, the Founder of the Group, upon consultations and evaluations constitutes a committee, of which three Executives, Oladele Ayobamikale, Hassan Mosunmola and Okanlawon Kafilat were charged with the task of coming up with a working document that can be followed by the network, and also, that will shed light and give a synopsis about the purpose the alumni network will serve.
The team was given given a 2 weeks period to come together, think through modalities and recommend to the larger committee what they feel should be included or added to make the network a sustainable and concrete one.
Some of the purpose to be served by the network, as outlined by the extended committee are but not limited to: creating opportunities for members and linking them up to openings, financial assistance, social connection, checking up on the well being of members, constantly motivate members, ensure no one is left behind, amongst others, all of which will be well drafted and reported by the sub committee that has been created.
It is projected that this network will further help the group in achieving her objectives, now and beyond, and by so doing, would leverage on the power of the alumni network to further raise funds to advance and propagate the SDGs, while also ensuring that our shared humanity is preserved.
