The EXCEL MINDS Academic Group, on Thursday, April 5th 2018 held her first major seminar, tagged: "Taking the Right Steps Towards Developing Your Potentials". The event was held at the 2 in 1 Lecture Theatre of the Lagos State University.
The idea of the seminar was conceived to provide professional guidance to new University intakes on steps they could take to develop themselves and maximise campus life.
The event had the National Association of Accounting Students (NUASA) as a partner, and got support from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), as well as the Superior Points Associate Limited (SPAL). The Founder and Coordinator of the group, Oladimeji Shotunde, appreciated all partners and Organizations for the support, saying this event would no doubt, impact favorably on the participants, especially as it concerns academics.
Distinguished guest speakers were present to enlighten and broaden the minds of participants, with special mention of which are: Dr. Sodiq Ogundeko, Dr. Jamiu Olakunle Tijani, Pelumi Olugbenga (Hesselbein Alumni, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States), amongst others.
Prizes were sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and presented to some outstanding participants. Souvenirs, including books and bags were distributed to all participants.
The Seminar had over 500 guests in attendance.
